goodmorningpapua.com – A board of the Batak Community Harmony (KMB) of Jayapura Regency for the 2021-2026 period was officially inaugurated at the Sunni Garden Hotel, Sentani, Saturday, June 25, 2022.
The inauguration, which began with a prayer and a procession of Batak culture, was attended by a number of important officials as well as harmony and associations in Jayapura Regency and City.
Besides the Jayapura Regent, Mathius Awoitauw, the inauguration was also attended by the Chair of the Jayapura DPRD, Klemens Hamo and the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Jayapura Regency, Hana Hikoyabi.
In his speechs, the Regent Mathius Awoitauw said that this inauguration was a form of a joint commitment several years ago, namely Jayapura Regency as a zone of integrity and harmony from various tribes, nations, religions and ethnicities, including the people in the Tabi area.
This commitment, said Mathius Awoitauw, can create a very beautiful and harmonious diversity but also support each other to develop this region.
“The dynamics in Papua from time to time continue to increase with various issues that splite our unity and integrity, therefore all of us, both the Tabi indigenous people and the archipelago harmony forum, are responsible for maintaining and calling for peace so that we can all live side by side and achieve mutual prosperity,” he said.
He thought, every human being never asked to be born in a certain tribe but God determines and creates, and it is an extraordinary work to create diversity.
“Anyone has no right to question this, because it is the absolute right of God the creator. This generosity has the intention that humans with diversity can manage this earth to live a prosperous life, therefore this diversity must be maintained,” said Mathius Awoitauw.
