Bank Papua Disburses IDR 5 Billion for Persipura Jayapura

This support was marked by the signing of a sponsorship agreement between the Business Director of Bank Papua, Sadar Sebayang, and the Director of PT Persipura Jayapura, Herald Kelengkongan in Jayapura City, Thursday, August 11, 2022.

The President Director of Bank Papua, F Zendrato said, BPD Papua continues to be committed to supporting the Mutiara team and remaining loyal together with Persipura Jayapura. “We have issued quite a large number of sponsors, which have reached more than IDR 91 billion so far. beyond the one we signed together today,” said Zendrato.

Zendrato said Bank Papua’s support for Persipura was to improve the dignity of the Papuan people. Where, PT Bank Papua and PT Persipura Jayapura are one corporate entity, so a business-to-business relationship should be established.

“If you look at the business-to-business relationship, actually Bank Papua cannot sponsor, because if we spend IDR 5 billion, it means that Persipura and all its supporters must have at least Rp 140 billion of money in Bank Papua, assuming that we put the money in the money market is approximately 3 percent in a year,” he explained.

He hopes that Persipura’s journey in the second league can produce good results. “May God help, accompany and encourage so that Persipura will succeed again in getting out of League II and returning to its original place, namely League I, so that a comeback can be realized,” he hoped.

Meanwhile, the Manager of Persipura Jayapura, Yan Permenas Mandenas, appreciated and expressed his gratitude to Bank Papua for continuing to be committed to being a sponsor for Persipura Jayapura.

“As stated by the President Director of Bank Papua, the sponsorship value has so far reached IDR 91 billion, not to mention IDR 5 billion this season. I think this sponsorship value is fantastic,” said Yan Mandenas.

For him, Bank Papua as one of the regional development banks continues to make a very large contribution to the progress of the Black Pearl Team in the Papuan and national and international arenas.

For this reason, he continued, this sponsorship is an encouragement for PT Persipura Jayapura, the manager with the coach and all the players to return to the Indonesian League I caste.

“This spirit is Persipura Jayapura’s hope to prepare to return the glory of Persipura Jayapura to League I. With the maximum support from sponsors, it will certainly increase the confidence of the Persipura Jayapura team to be able to provide the best,” he said.

Apart from Bank Papua, Yan Mandenas said, support for Persipura in the Indonesian League II also came from PT Freeport Indonesia by pouring a budget of Rp 4 billion, while the Papua Provincial Government provided support in the form of the use of assets and others.

“There are other sponsors who provide support for match and training equipment, namely Specs and one of the sponsors from Jakarta, PT Ulun Nusantara, which will add sponsors of around Rp. 3 billion,” he explained.
