“It is hoped that the Wifi.id IndiHome Corner can be the right location for Papuan people to be creative and to explore interesting ideas as well as to expose the wealth and beauty of Papua to the world, especially to welcome PON XX in Papua,” said Telkom’s Director of Consumer Service., Venusiana, as quoted from the written statement received, (29/4/2021).
According to Venusiana, WiFi Corner is spread across Papua and even in outermost areas such as Sota on the border of Merauke, Raja Ampat West Papua, and Tanah Merah Merauke. Besides, a stable internet connection with internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps, Wifi.id Corner IndiHome is equipped with facilities such as chairs, tables and electricity supplies. This makes Papuan communities, students, and people easily and comfortably access the internet.
“IndiHome services in Papua to continually be developed so that it is expected to reach 100%. Currently, there are 6 districts / cities and 98 districts in Papua that can enjoy IndiHome services,” said Venusiana.
The construction of 50 WiFi points is part of the IndiHome Wonderful Papua connectivity program launched in March. It is known that IndiHome Wonderful Papua has three big goals, namely connectivity, creativity and charity.
For charity, IndiHome Wonderful Papua held social activities in the form of giving over hundreds of millions of rupiah in aid to communities spread across Papua. In addition, Telkom also provided Orbit assistance and a one-year free quota for the zero point area of Merauke.
