After Enjoying Dusk in Kaimana, a Vice President Ma’ruf Inaugurated the Food Court – A Vice President Ma’ruf Amin visited Kaimana Regency during his working visit to West Papua Province, Wednesday 30 November 2022.

The arrival of the number two person in Indonesia was warmly welcomed by the Regent of Kaimana Freddy Thie as well as several West Papua Provincial Government officials and Kaimana Government officials.

Apart from officials, a number of students coached by the Senja Kaimana Cliffs Studio also welcomed the Seka Kaimana traditional dance at Kaimana Utarum Airport.

During his visit, Vice President Ma’ruf took the time to enjoy the sunset with Wury Ma’ruf Amin’s wife, which is located 14 kilometers from Kaimana Airport. This is similar to what President Jokowi and his wife Iriana Jokowi did during their visit in 2019.

Based on monitoring, the arrival of the Vice President Ma’ruf Amin has aroused the enthusiasm of the people. They are willing to jostle along the road that will be passed by this important figure.

Dozens of vegetable sellers at Krooy Market also did not want to be left behind. They were seen waving their hands and yelling out the Vice President’s name.

A similar scene was also seen from the rows of thousands of students at several points waving small red and white flags on the side of the road.

After enjoying the sunset, the Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and his wife rushed to the Kaimana Beach Hotel where they would spend the night in Kaimana.

Based on information obtained by, the Vice President Ma’ruf Amin will hold a meeting with Acting Governor of West Papua Paulus Waterpauw, Regents, and traditional and religious leaders on Thursday 1 November 2022.

After the meeting, the Vice President is also scheduled to inaugurate the MSME Food Court and greet residents at Taman Jokowi-Iriana before leaving Kaimana for Biak Numfor Regency, Papua Province.

It is known that the name Taman Jokowi-Iriana itself was given when President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Jokowi paid a working visit on October 27 2019.

At that time, Jokowi and the First Lady had visited the Park, which was originally known as Kaimana City Park, to simply enjoy the sunset that spoiled the eyes.
