After a Long Waiting, 9 Monumental Buildings in the Land of Papua are Inaugurated – Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, inaugurated 9 monumental buildings in the land of Papua. The inauguration at the same time commemorates the 73rd anniversary of the Province of Papua falling on December 27, 2022.

The nine buildings inaugurated were the Governor’s Office of Papua Province, the MRP Office building, the KPU Papua Office building, the Papua Province BPBJ Office building.

Three Samsat Office buildings in Paniai Regency, Yapen Islands Regency and Keerom Regency as well as five service rooms at Jayapura Hospital and Keppi Port, Mappi Regency.

The Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, said that the construction of the office would use the Remaining Budget Overpayment (SiLPA) funds in Bank Papua.

“This is not using APBD funds but SILPA ones. I want to leave an impression by building these offices. Please for the younger generation to fill in and continue,” said Lukas Enembe, Friday 30 December 2022.

Infrastructure Coordinator, Girius One Yoman explained, the construction of the Governor’s Office was carried out using a design method with a modern minimalist concept and a monumental concept.

The construction of the Governor’s Office also emphasizes formal symbols in accordance with the function of the building as a government building. On the front there are 5 large pillars which signify the 5 Precepts of Pancasila and represent the 5 customary areas in Papua Province, namely Mamta, Saereri, Anim Ha, La Pago and Mee Pago.

“The building has 2 access roads where on the 1st floor it goes to Jalan Soa Siu and the 3rd floor goes to Jalan Sam Ratulangi,” explained Girius One Yoman.

Meanwhile, the Governor of West Sepik Sandaun Papua New Guinea, Mr. Tony Waowao on that occasion expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe and also the previous governors who have brought progress in Papua.

“I am honored to be able to witness the inauguration of the Governor of Papua building. I represent the Government and the West Sepik Province, I came here to convey that we are the same and are brothers. This is extraordinary, let’s protect the big building that represents the people of Papua together,” he said.

The solemn ceremony of the inauguration for 9 monumental buildings ended with a joint Christmas service in the courtyard of the Papua Governor’s Office.
