This is in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos), Tri Rismaharini to send a logistical assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) to the location.
The assistance was handed over to the Yalimo Police Chief, AKBP Hesman S Napitupulu, who was accompanied by Elvis Meage, Head of the Mental and Spiritual Division of the Yalimo District Social Service. Subsequently, the logistical assistance was brought to the main post of handling the social conflicts, which was located at the Elelim Police Station in Yalimo District.
The assistance in the form of 3,000 ready-to-eat food packages; 100 children’s food packages; 200 sheets of blankets; 200 mattress sheets; 200 packages of kids ware, as well as 3 tons of regular rice from the Divre Bulog Wamena.
In addition, there is additional logistical assistance, namely 100 adult T-shirts; 100 children’s t-shirts, and 200 sarongs.
“Starting this morning, the logistical assistance will be distributed according to the urgent needs at the evacuation location in Yalimo Regency,” said Syafii Nasution, Director of Social Management for Victims of Natural Disasters, Monday (5/7/2021).
