A Pastor House of GKPMI of El-Shaddai Begins to Build

goodmorningpapua.com – A Pastor House of the Missi Indonesia Calvary Pentecostal Church (GKPMI), El-Shaddai, Serui has begun to be built. The construction was marked by a groundbreaking conducted by the Regent of the Yapen Islands, Tonny Tesar, Thursday 17 February 2022.

The groundbreaking began with a short worship service led by Pastor Yohanes Menanti which was attended by the Chairman of the DPRD, a Plt. Yapen Regional Secretary, Regent’s Expert Staff, a Head of Inspectorate, a Chair of the North Yapen GKI Class, a Head of the Ministry of Religion Office, a Chair of the Yapen FKUB to representatives of the 1709 Yawa Kodim.

On this occasion, Rev. Yohanes Menanti expressed his gratitude as the pastor of the church for the attention of the Regional Government for the construction of the GKPMI El-Shaddai Pastoral House.

“Our prayers have finally come true, with the long wait for this housing to be built, especially now that there are 8 people living in the Pastor’s House, we need a slightly wider one,” said Rev. John.

The Regent of Yapen Islands, Tonny Tesar in his speech welcomed the construction of the GKPMI El-Shaddai Pastoral House, because it is part of the construction, namely the church members.

“The government provides guarantees and care for church servants, including in the construction of the Pastor’s House,” he said.

The construction of the Pastor’s House is predicted to cost Rp 1.3 billion. A number of officials in the Yapen Islands also provided assistance for the development.

In addition to the Yapen Regent providing assistance of IDR 10 million, Plt. Yapen Regional Secretary Erny R. Tania also contributed 1,000 bricks. Meanwhile, the expert staff, the Head of the Inspectorate, the Head of the Religious Office and the Chair of the FKUB to the Chair of the North Yapen Klasis provided an assistance with dozens of bags of cement.
