goodmorningpapua.com – Papuan Women Scholars (CPP) held the First Congress on Tuesday (22/3/2022), at Hotel Borobudur Jakarta which was opened directly by the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Bintang Puspayoga.
The congress was also attended by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, and several officials and heads of women’s organizations throughout Indonesia.
A Chairperson of CPP Rosaline Rumaseuw said the congress would specifically discuss the Role of Papuan Women in the Implementation of Papua Special Autonomy after the Revision of the Constitution No. 2 of 2021.
“In addition, there are also many discussion points, such as the Perdasus related to the protection of human rights, children and women,” said Rosaline in her statement, Wednesday (23/2/2022).
Rosaline explained, the purpose of the Papuan Women Scholars being present is to become a unifying tool for women throughout the Land of Papua, Indonesia and the world.
Then it becomes a tool to encourage the empowerment of Papuan women.
“As well as being a tool for implementing SDG’S, namely stopping hunger, developing food and nutrition security, and promoting sustainable agriculture,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive of Activities, Greez Numberi, said that the CPP agenda after the Congress was the Preparation of the W20 Host Side Manokwari West Papua and the National Seminar on the Role of Papuan Women in the Implementation of Special Autonomy in Papua after the Revision of the Constitution No. 2 of 2021 which to be held in Manokwari.
