As for PYCH, currently the construction progress has reached 99 percent and will be inaugurated by President Joko Widodo.
“It is in this building that PMI (Inspiring Young Papuans) will later conduct various programs to contribute to the welfare of the Papuan people. They will collaborate with various parties, develop themselves and continue to be the driving force for developing young human resources in Cenderawasih Earth,” Made said in a written statement, Tuesday (20/12/2022).
He also checked one by one the rooms and facilities in the building. As for later, when it has been inaugurated, PYCH will be handed over from the PUPR Ministry to BIN. From the results of the review, Made Kartikajaya suggested improvements at a number of points to improve the building, including sports fields and stair railings.
“In principle BIN is ready to accept the PYCH building, but there are still a number of improvements. If all repairs and work are 100 percent complete, a handover will be carried out from the PUPR Ministry to BIN,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Settlement Infrastructure Implementation Work Unit for Region II Papua Province, Meinar Manurung, admitted that he received input from BUN to speed up the repair process.
“Today, together with BIN, we have held a preparatory coordination meeting for the handover. We also accompanied Deputy IV to tour the building area to see work in the field. There has been input from the Deputy regarding matters that we need to fix before handing over,” said Meinar.
On the other hand, PMI Papua Regional Coordinator Neil Aiwoy who accompanied the visit said he was grateful to the Government of Indonesia for building PYCH.
He added that the construction of this building was one of the many facilities provided to young Papuans and the Papuan people by President Jokowi and Head of BIN Budi Gunawan.
“Thank you to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Pak Joko Widodo and the Head of BIN General Pol (Purn) Budi Gunawan for the construction of the PYCH building,” he explained.
