A Nice Gift for Wamena People on National Electricity Day

goodmorningpapua.com – In celebrating of the 76th National Electricity Day, PLN provides electricity to people in the foremost, outermost, and aftermost (3T) areas, Jayawijaya Regency. Through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program with worth Rp. 198,912,500, PLN succeeded in providing free electricity connection assistance for underprivileged families spread across Yalengga District and Bolakme District.

The assistance was symbolically handed over by the PLN Manager of the Wamena Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3), Robert J. Mofu to the Plt Regional Secretary of Jayawijaya Regency, Live Wusono at the local government office. Now, as many as 250 families living in the 3T area can enjoy PLN electricity services with a power of 450 VA for 24 hours.

One of the beneficiaries, Stenli Huby, expressed his gratitude to PLN for providing electricity connection assistance in his district. He said that daily activities were more helpful by the being of sufficient lighting.

“I am very happy because I can feel the presence of electricity that has never existed before. With electricity, I hope that life here will be better from various sides,” he said.

Meanwhile, an Acting Regional Secretary of Jayawijaya Regency, Tinggal Wusono, expressed his appreciation for PLN’s form of service in serving the community, especially in Jayawijaya. Various activities seem to be easier to do and children can also study at night from home comfortably.

“A big gratitude to PLN for its assistance in bringing electricity to the area which is included in this 3T area. Hopefully this synergy with the regional government can continue to be well established so that the presence of electricity can improve the quality of people life. Happy National Electricity Day, PLN is still victorious,” said Tinggal.

On the other hand, the Manager of PLN UP3 Wamena, Robert J. Mofu explained that one of these TJSL programs besides aiming to increase the electrification ratio, PLN also wants to support local governments to improve people’s welfare.

With the presence of electricity which has now become a daily necessity, it is hoped that it can move the existing economic aspects. “We hope that with the already available facilities, the community can work hand in hand to maintain this. Hopefully this nice gift can be enjoyed by the community happily, “he expected.
