A Mass Vaccination in Serui to be the Beginning of Economic Awakening for Papua

goodmorningpapua.com – A mass vaccination is held in Papua. This is expected to be the beginning of economic awakening for Papua. Rika’s face brightened, her eyes showed happiness. The woman from the South Yapen District admitted that she was not afraid of needle anymore.

In fact, she admitted that herself  was happy to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the  Navy (AL) Large-Scale Vaccination of Covid-19  which was held in Serui City, Yapen Islands Regency, Papua on Tuesday (21/9/2021).

For her,  the COVID-19 vaccination is the beginning of the economic recovery for the Papuan people, especially the City of Serui.

Through vaccination, a marine tourism in the Serui Islands can be re-opened, so that it can stimulate the people’s economy.

“I am very happy to be able to get a vaccine. We hope that this vaccine can be the beginning of the reopening of tourism, so that the Serui people can be visited by tourists in the future,” said Rika.

Rika’s expectation was echoed by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.

Through the mass vaccination targeting 8,000 Papuans spread across 17 vaccination centers, he admitted that he was optimistic that the economy in Serui City could turn round quickly.

“So today I thank you, everyone has participated and this vaccination is to welcome PON XX Papua, we must continually increase vaccinations, move again, society is formed with basic necessities,” said Sandiaga Uno on Tuesday (21/9/2021).

“On this occasion we are all out to support PON XX Papua,” he added.

On this occasion, Sandiaga Uno appreciated all parties who had succeeded in the Indonesian Navy Large -Scale Vaccine of Covid-19. among others, Kolinlamil (Military Sea Crossing Command), Papuan Indigenous Youth, Branch Administrators of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU), GP Anshor, Eiger and Astra Honda Motor.

In addition, the mothers of Catra Ratnanggadi Yala Kanyasena, namely the Foster Mother of the Indonesian Navy Women’s Corps and the Papuan youth community, including the Glow Fellowship Center, Bethel Church of Indonesia.

“This is a pentahelix collaboration vaccination onset, everyone is participating because we want to accelerate vaccination,” said Sandiaga Uno.

“I also appreciate Yala’s mothers who always give support. This is evidence that we do not move alone, but in accordance with 3G, Geber-moving together, Gercep-moving quickly and Gaspol-working on all existing potentials,” he explained.
