A Christmas Message from the Waibu District Youth: Be an Example for Believers

goodmorningpapua.com – The Waibu District Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) held a Joint Christmas Celebration at the GPdi Kalvan Church, Bambar Village, Jayapura Regency, Papua, Thursday 15 December 2022.

The Christmas celebration attended by traditional leaders, community, youth, women and a number of Community and Youth Organizations (OKP) raised the sub-theme, “Bein a Example for Believers”.

The Chairperson of the Waibu District KNPI, Thina Kaway hopes that through this Christmas all the youth in the 7 villages can become role models for everyone.

“Hopefully through the first Christmas of the Waibu District KNPI, peace will continue to accompany our hearts and through this Christmas I invite all youth to get closer to God, because life is an opportunity,” said Thina Kaway.

Thina advised that the Christmas momentum in the Waibu District in 2022 could be used as a motivation for youth to become active, creative and productive youth.

“Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, the peace of Christmas be with us, let’s move forward together. God blesses,” he said.

A Chairman of the Jayapura Regency Indonesian Youth Council (MPI), Isack Hikoyabi, is very proud and appreciates the Chair of the Waibu District KNPI. Where as native Sentani women and female cadres are able to carry out positive activities.

He advised all youth in Jayapura in 19 districts, 144 villages and 5 sub-districts to maintain an order and not take any action that would cause friction among fellow youths.

“At this moment, youth must stay away from bad habits such as drugs and alcohol, this is very important so that in the future there will be an intelligent young generation that is positive for developing Jayapura Regency,” he said.

Isack hopes that the Waibu District KNPI activities can be a good example and can be emulated by other districts and villages, so that in the future youth can play an important role in the progress of Jayapura Regency.

“I represent all the youth of Jayapura Regency wish you a Merry Christmas December 25 2002 and welcome to the New Year January 1 2023. May the blessings of Christmas continue to bless and to protect all the young generation in Jayapura for the glory of the Kenambai Umbai Land,” said Isack.
