goodmorningpapua.com – Continuing its ongoing commitment to the advancement of education in Eastern Indonesia, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) in collaboration with Guru Binar held Classroom Management Teacher Training for elementary school (SD) teachers on 7 – 11 November 2022 at the PGRI Building, Jayapura City through blended learning approach.
The teacher training is a series of teacher training programs for optimizing 21st century learning which is the implementation of an independent curriculum. Starting the training, the activity was attended by the Secretary of the Jayapura City Education and Culture Office Abdul Majid, a Head of Elementary School Development Division of the Jayapura City Education and Culture Office Ellen Montolalu, Head of KCU BCA Jayapura Yusuf Effendi, and involved 40 elementary school teachers in Jayapura City.
“We realize that the challenge of education in Indonesia today is to produce quality human resources to support sustainable economic growth. Such quality human resources can be achieved if the teachers as HR printers also have qualified capacities and capabilities. Hopefully, this teacher training will bring significant changes to improving the quality of education in Jayapura City. In addition, I also hope that teachers who have attended the training can share their knowledge with other peer teachers,” said Yusuf.
Implementation of the training program there are several stages of selection carried out. Starting with 108 potential participants who registered at the start of the program, in the end the 40 best participants were selected to become participants in this training which will last until April 2023.
Teachers who take part in the training will receive a series of material topics starting from Class Management, Preparation of Independent Teaching RPP, Active Creative Effective and Fun Learning (PAKEM), and Learning Media and Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA).
“This program will specifically support the creation of a conducive learning environment. The Independent Curriculum is a big umbrella for forming critical thinking and creativity to help students solve problems,” added Yusuf.
All material provided in a structured, measurable manner can support teachers to realize 4C (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration & Communication) skills in innovative, meaningful and fun learning for students.
