3 Regions in Papua Implement New Mechanism for Purchasing Subsidized Fuel

goodmorningpapua.com – PT. Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku has begun to implement a new mechanism for purchasing fuel oil or BBM in three regions in Papua Province.

Purchases are made by registering fuel oil through the website subsiditepat.mypertamina.id specifically for four-wheeled vehicles in order to regulate the distribution of subsidized fuel so that it is right on target.

Papua Maluku Regional Executive General Manager, I Ketut Permadi Arya Kumara said that the implementation of the new mechanism prioritized areas with good infrastructure, such as Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency and Mimika Regency.

“Currently, we are focusing on coordinating with local governments to get support for its implementation later, including socialization to the public regarding the registration process so that later there will be no misunderstanding about this program,” said Ketut, Friday, July 1, 2022.

According to Ketut, the government has tried to maintain people’s purchasing power by not increasing the price of subsidized fuel. This creates a greatly potential for abuse and it is feared that it will make it difficult or impossible for people to access subsidized fuel to get access to fuel.

“For example, there is the same vehicle back and forth to fill it so that people who really need it for personal needs find it difficult to get fuel. That’s why this program was created so that later everyone will be registered purchasing the subsidized fuel,” he said.

Every purchase of BBM will record data on the application, starting from the NIK, STNK and vehicle photos to ensure the vehicle number and number of wheels. This rule is related to the amount of fuel that can be consumed by each type of vehicle.

After the status is registered, continued Ketut, the public will get a unique QR Code which will be received via email or notification on the subsiditepat.mypertamina.id website.

“In the transaction, the public is not required to download the My Pertamina application, the QR Code can be printed out and taken to the gas station, then a gas station officer will scan it every time the filling transaction is made,” explained Ketut.

Ketut added, registration through the website aims to protect people who actually have the right to enjoy fuel subsidies and it can be ensured that it is not to make it difficult for the community.
