A Head of BPS of Papua Province, Adriana Helena Carolina, said the economy of Bumi Cenderawasih based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) with prices in 2021 reached IDR 235.34 trillion and with constant 2010 prices reached IDR 158.61 trillion.
“In terms of production, the largest growth occurred in the Mining and Quarrying Business Field of 40.80 percent,” he said in a press release in Jayapura, Monday, February 7, 2022.
According to Adriana, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Foreign Export Component of 105.14 percent.
“The Papuan economy in the fourth quarter of 2021 for the same period in 2020 grew by 17.16 percent (y-on-y),” he said.
He explained that from the production aspect, the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field have the highest growth of 37.68 percent, while from the expenditure side, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Component (PMTB) experienced the highest growth of 24.28 percent.
“The Papuan economy in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter grew by 7.22 percent (q-to-q),” he said.
He added that from the production aspect, the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field experienced the highest growth of 35.15 percent, while in terms of expenditure, the Expenditure Component for Government Consumption has the highest growth of 32.30 percent.
